Maria Cristina Franchini graduated in Law (magna cum laude) at Genoa State University in 1968, where she engaged in teaching activities until 1971.
She is a member of the legal profession since 1970.
She worked until 1975 at Studio Graziadei, Milan, then the first international law firm of Italy, dealing with corporate and contractual cases.
She is a founding partner of the Firm.
The chief areas of concentration of Maria Cristina Franchini, who heads a team of dedicated litigators, are private international law, IP law as well as domestic and cross-border litigation.
In recent years, she has masterminded the defense of various patented active principles of value belonging to pharmaceutical multinationals, as well as the defense strategies in Italy of brands of high renown in the luxury and durable consumables sectors.
Outside IP, Maria Cristina Franchini has been in charge of a number of multi-jurisdiction litigations in contractual, insurance and large banking and corporate insolvency cases.
She is familiar with criminal and public law aspects, and has developed proven skills of multidisciplinary work in coordination with criminal and administrative law counsels, foreign lawyers, experts and consultants.
