Cristina Fussi graduated in Law with top marks at Milan State University in 1985. She started her professional practice in the same year at Milan international law firm Pavia e Ansaldo. In 1990, she became in-house counsel for the US multinational group Waste Mangement, then worldwide leader in the environmental industry, where she was directly involved in the acquisitions of a large number of Italian companies, with related antitrust aspects. Upon the exit of the US group from Italy, in 1998, she went back to private practice, joining first the Milan international law firm Chiomenti e Associati, where she continued to follow M&A and competition matters, then this Firm, where she was made a partner in 2001. The activity of Cristina Fussi, and her team of associates, is mainly concentrated on corporate matters and international transactions, competition and regulatory matters. She assists, inter alia, a French-US group leader in the environmental field, the main Japanese printing group in a joint venture for the supply of semiconductors in what was the largest Japanese investment in Italy in 2002, other European groups in the insurance and transportation industry and the first major foreign rail company that, from year 2003, directly carries out freight transportation services in Italy.
