Roberto Jacchia graduated in Law (LL.D., cum laude) at Genoa State University in 1968, after a number of foreign experiences, including internships at the European Commission and the Council of Europe. He is a member of the legal profession since 1969. He worked with Studio Grazidei, Rome and Milan, then the first international law firm of Italy, from 1969 through 1975.
He is a founding partner of the Firm. Roberto Jacchia engaged in teaching activities at Genoa State University and, thereafter, Milan Catholic University, until 1973; he has maintained close links with the academic community, and is the author of legal works and articles.
The chief areas of concentration of Roberto Jacchia comprise competition law, Community law, pharmaceutical and regulatory law, and IP law. He is in charge of the Brussels office of the Firm.
In the recent years, he has represented in cases and matters of regulatory, antitrust and IP law numerous multinationals, namely of the pharmaceutical and food and beverage industries. He has been in charge of the defense of large undertakings in cartel cases, domestic and Community filings, as well as proceedings before the European Commission and the Court of Justice. He has broad experience of litigation, including in the Administrative Courts and the Supreme Court of Italy.
