In an insightful article by Gaspare Roma, Laura Mucciarelli, Ilaria Uletto, and Veronica Maria Sole Franco, published on AziendaBanca, the renewal of the National Collective Labour Agreement (CCNL) for executives in the banking, financial, and instrumental sectors, signed on July 15, 2025, between ABI and the main trade unions, is thoroughly analyzed.

The new agreement introduces significant improvements in terms of compensation, work-life balance, and training.

In particular:

Minimum annual salary raised to €80,000 starting August 1, 2025, and €85,000 from January 2026
Stronger protections for female executives during early maternity leave (with full pay) and for executives in vulnerable conditions
Greater flexibility for those facing serious illnesses
Ongoing training ensured through the FONDIR fund, helping executives keep up with a rapidly evolving sector

On July 16, our Gaspare Roma and Laura Mucciarelli were among the speakers at the training course titled “Qualified Person”, organized by IKN Italy with the aim of providing a comprehensive overview of the Qualified Person role in the context of labor law.

Among the topics covered, they explored the legal requirements set out in Legislative Decree 219/2006, the role and positioning of the Qualified Person within a company, contractual and salary classification, liability profiles, and confidentiality obligations.

The session also focused on the specific risks associated with the role, civil and criminal liabilities, the means and financial resources the employer must provide to the Qualified Person, possible insurance obligations, and briefly touched on industrial property and confidentiality duties.

It was an insightful opportunity for professional development on a strategic topic that allows us to offer clients increasingly thorough and timely assistance.
