What new risks emerge for doctors and healthcare institutions with the use of generative artificial intelligence?
“The systems in use may not have been sufficiently tested and/or supported by scientific evidence, or they may produce systematic distortions in their outcomes (so-called bias). As a result, healthcare institutions could face significant legal and reputational risks, which could be mitigated by taking into account the World Health Organization’s Guidelines for the ethical and responsible use of generative AI”, explains Marco.
