In the article by Gaspare Roma, Antonella Terranova, and Adriano Garofalo, published on NT+ Diritto of Il Sole 24 Ore, a recent decision by the Italian Data Protection Authority (no. 113/2026) is analyzed. The case concerns a Foundation, a public-law entity, and a manager dismissed for just cause.

The case revolves around the publication, in the “Transparent Administration” section, of a resolution regarding the dismissal of the manager, including his personal data and freely accessible online.

Following the employee’s complaint, the Authority recognized the precedence of the right to privacy over administrative transparency, contrary to the Foundation’s position. The latter had justified the publication by invoking transparency obligations, the strategic role of the manager, and the fact that the news had already been disclosed, also noting that the data had later been redacted.

The case brings back to the forefront a crucial question: where does the obligation of transparency end, and where does the protection of privacy begin?

In the article by Marco Stillo published on InsurZine, the protections available to passengers in the event of flight cancellations are examined, an increasingly frequent phenomenon due to ongoing strikes and geopolitical tensions.

Regulation (EC) No. 261/2004 grants passengers the right to a ticket refund or an alternative flight, as well as assistance (meals, accommodation, transport) and, in some cases, financial compensation. It is also essential to keep all documentation relating to the trip and any expenses incurred.

Since airline refunds do not always cover all economic consequences, it may be useful to complement them with travel insurance, which can cover additional risks such as illness or cancellation for personal reasons.

In such cases, it is crucial to carefully read the insurance terms and act promptly, in order to effectively combine legal protection with insurance coverage.

Through this transaction, Olyos strengthens its presence in the dermocosmetics sector and, leveraging strategic commercial and operational synergies, aims to accelerate its expansion in the Italian and European markets.

De Berti Jacchia advised Biomethan Brown Cremona 1 S.p.A., part of the Andion CH4 group, on the acquisition of 95% of the share capital of Enerland S.r.l., a company that owns a biogas plant located in the province of Bologna.

The transaction enables Andion to expand its European portfolio of renewable energy infrastructure through a project that will convert organic waste streams into low-carbon energy via an anaerobic digestion process for the production of renewable biomethane, in line with the 2022 Biomethane Legislative Decree.

The initiative contributes to national decarbonisation targets and strengthens local energy security, as part of Andion’s strategy to develop a European platform of biomethane assets.

Andion CH4 has finalized a €24 million project financing transaction aimed at the construction of a biomethane production plant using agricultural waste in Mirandola, Modena, in the Emilia-Romagna region.

The transaction was structured by a banking pool composed of BNL BNP Paribas, acting as Mandated Lead Arranger, Original Lender and Facility Agent, and Mediocredito Centrale, acting as Original Lender, as part of Andion CH4’s European development plan in the biomethane sector. The financing forms part of the company’s industrial strategy focused on building an infrastructure platform dedicated to the development, construction and operation of anaerobic digestion plants for the production of low-carbon biomethane.
