We provide assistance and advice, both judicial and extrajudicial, in matters of intellectual property, with particular reference to the protection and enhancement of trademarks, designs and models, patents, utility models, domain names, plant varieties, protected designations of origin (PDO) and protected geographical indications (PGI), as well as copyright, know-how, software, media law and new technologies, unfair competition and trade secrets.

We also assist clients in carrying out prior rights searches and in drafting opinions on the registrability of trademarks and designs at national, European and international level, as well as in the filing and registration of trademarks, designs and patents and in the search and registration of domain names.

We handle the integrated management, surveillance and monitoring of national and international IP portfolios, as well as the definition of the related management strategy. We also support clients in carrying out due diligence activities on intellectual property portfolios, also in relation to extraordinary transactions, such as mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures.

Our activity also includes assistance in the negotiation and drafting of IP-related contracts and agreements, including licence agreements, commercial contracts and technology transfer agreements.

In the field of litigation, we provide assistance and representation to clients in proceedings concerning infringement, nullity and revocation of trademarks and other distinctive signs, unfair competition and copyright infringement, before national and international ordinary courts, as well as before the Italian Advertising Self-Regulatory Institute (IAP). In patent matters, we work with Italian and foreign patent attorneys, assisting patent holders in complex disputes concerning infringement and validity of the exclusive right, in ordinary and urgent proceedings, both before national courts and before the Unified Patent Court.

We also assist clients in opposition and cancellation actions concerning trademarks and other intellectual property rights before the Italian Patent and Trademark Office, the Board of Appeals and the EUIPO, as well as in domain name disputes through UDRP procedures and in mediation and arbitration procedures concerning intellectual property before the WIPO.

More generally, we support our clients in enforcement activities relating to intellectual property rights, including investigations, anti-counterfeiting and brand protection, also through applications for action before national and European Union customs authorities.
