In an article published on AI4Business – Nextwork360, our Armando Ambrosio and Pierpaolo Beluzzi, judge at the Court of Cremona, explore the opportunities and challenges of using artificial intelligence in the legal and justice sector.

In particular, the article analyses the “Augmented Justice” project and its implications for judges and lawyers. Developed at the Court of Cremona, the project examines how AI can support the analysis of complex case files through transparent and verifiable models, without replacing human judgment and in full respect of the right of defence.

The article also addresses the integration of AI into the legal profession without compromising transparency, adversarial process and the protection of fundamental rights, as well as the evolving role of the lawyer within a system increasingly supported by AI.
