Our Diego Conte spoke on January 29 in Shenzhen at the event “Italy as the Best Gateway to the European Energy Market”, hosted by Gensol.
During the meeting, dedicated to Chinese operators interested in accessing the European energy market, we outlined why Italy represents a strategic hub today, thanks to:
- its central geographic position in the Mediterranean
- the strength of its industrial supply chain
- growing demand for energy transition technologies
- the 2024–2026 regulatory framework and incentives supporting investments in solar, wind and storage
The presentation provided a practical overview of the key legal and tax aspects of operating in Italy, from commercialization models and distribution/agency structures to the tax system and incentives, as well as double taxation treaties and the Italian Golden Power regime.
The initiative confirmed the strong interest of Asian investors in the Italian and European energy markets and the importance of integrated planning from the earliest stages of an investment.
We thank Gensol for the invitation and for its valuable role in connecting the global tech ecosystem with the Chinese market.
